Where do I download the app?

StreamLine VPN is available on:

  • Amazon Appstore (for Fire TV and Android phones)

  • Direct download from our website (Android only)
How do I connect for the first time?

Open the app, sign in with your registered email and password, choose a server location from the list, and tap CONNECT. The app will request VPN permission the first time — accept this, and you'll be protected within seconds.

Account & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed through Google Play, manage the subscription in the Play Store app under Subscriptions.

How do I update my payment method?

Log in to your account portal at streamlinevpn.org/billing and update your payment details under Account.

Troubleshooting

The app says "Connected" but my IP address hasn't changed

Try disconnecting and reconnecting. If the issue persists:

  • Force-stop the app from your device's app settings, then open it again
  • Try a different server location
  • Check that no other VPN apps are running at the same time
  • Restart your device if the issue continues

If you're still seeing the issue, email support@streamlinevpn.org with your device type and app version.

My speeds are slower than expected

VPN speeds depend on your distance from the server and your underlying internet connection. Try these steps:

  • Connect to a server geographically closer to you
  • Test your speed without the VPN to compare your baseline
  • Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa) to test
  • Avoid peak hours if a particular server is congested
I can't log in

Make sure you're using the email and password from your StreamLine VPN account (not your Google or Amazon account). If you've forgotten your password, use the password reset link at streamlinevpn.org/billing.

The app crashes or won't open

Try clearing the app cache from your device's Settings → Apps → StreamLine VPN → Storage. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app. Your account is unaffected — you can log in again with the same credentials.

Features

What is split tunnelling?

Split tunnelling lets you choose which apps go through the VPN and which connect directly. For example, you might want your web browser routed through the VPN for privacy, but your local streaming app to connect directly for full speed on local Wi-Fi.

Find this in the app under Settings → Split Tunnelling.

What is the kill switch?

The kill switch automatically blocks your internet connection if the VPN drops unexpectedly, preventing your real IP address from being exposed. Once the VPN reconnects, your traffic flows normally again.

Enable it in Settings → Security.

Which server locations are available?

Currently we offer servers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. We add new locations regularly based on user demand.

How many devices can I connect simultaneously?

This depends on your plan — between 1 and 5 simultaneous connections. You can check your plan limit in the account portal under Services.

Privacy

Do you log my activity?

No. We operate a strict no-log policy. We do not record browsing history, DNS queries, IP addresses, connection timestamps, or any activity passed through the VPN. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What information do you collect?

Only the minimum needed to run the service: your email address, encrypted password, billing information (handled by our payment processor), and the count of active connections to enforce plan limits. We do not log your VPN traffic.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@streamlinevpn.org from your registered email. See our deletion page for full details on what's removed and the processing timeline.

Fire TV & Android TV

How do I install on Fire TV?

Search for "StreamLine VPN" in the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV, then click Get/Download. The app is fully optimised for D-pad navigation.

How do I install on Android TV / Google TV?

Search for "StreamLine VPN" in the Google Play Store on your TV. Once installed, sign in with your account credentials and connect.

Why does my TV say "VPN is connected" but streaming services know my real location?

Some smart TVs leak DNS queries directly to your router or use Google's DNS regardless of VPN settings. This is a TV manufacturer limitation. To fix:

  • Use the split tunnelling feature to route only specific apps through the VPN
  • Configure your router's DNS to use a privacy-respecting service
  • Check that your TV's system-wide network setting is using the VPN
